This trail has thirty two eco-label certified businesses including hotels, self-catering accommodation, B&Bs, restaurants, heritage and activity centres. All businesses have recently achieved the Green Hospitality Award – a European recognised eco-label.

Neil Faulkner MSC has been working as a trainer and facilitator with tourism businesses throughout Inishowen for the past two years. He has worked closely with the tourism providers to establish the ecotourism network, develop environmental criteria suitable for tourism businesses in Inishowen and assisting thirty two businesses achieve eco label accreditation.
Neil has a background in environmental management and over the past number of years has worked closely with tourism businesses throughout Ireland helping them develop and implement best environmental practice. He focuses on how businesses can improve energy management, water conservation, waste reduction and promoting the local landscape, culture and biodiversity.
His vision for Inishowen is that all tourism businesses implement an environmental charter that demonstrates best environmental practice and that the peninsula can be recognised as a Responsible Tourism Destination.
